Today meant so much to me. I had the honor of winning the Humorous Speech Competition through all 4 levels to take home 1st Place in District - 30 Toastmasters.
My speech was titled "Aristotle's Girlfriend." I spoke about how we men are constantly inspired by the women in our lives and rarely realize it. My mother, my daughter, and my wife, just to name a few, have done so much to mold me into the man that I am today and the man that I hope to be tomorrow. It is recognizing the help that they offer so freely, that continues to motivate me to Mentor and Coach others.
Toastmasters is an organization that continues to help me refine my craft, improve my communication skills, and make me a better leader. I am so very thankful for all the people who work so hard behind the scenes, in this organization, to help the rest of us look good.
