Face ANXIETY with Bacon

Listen to the whole show on

What will the future hold for me? Have I planned enough? Have I done the right things? What lurks around the corner? The thought of what could be in the future can be terrifying. No matter how prepared we are, we’ll never really know what will happen until it does. Let’s talk about the comfort in living with the unknown and face our ANXIETY with Bacon.

B - Be in the NOW! (Am I safe now?)

“The past is History, the future is a mystery, TODAY is a gift, that is why it’s called the Present” -Master Oogway, Kung Fu Panda

A - Act confident, act as if it’s all going to be okay (fake it, till you make it)

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle

C - Countdown for Grounding, 5-4-3-2-1

5 things you can see. Bacon in the fridge, on the counter, in the pan, on the plate, in my hand!

4 things you can physically feel. Kitchen Floor, Raw Bacon, Spitting Bacon Grease, Chewy Bacon!

3 things you can hear. Birds Chirping, Coffee Brewing, Bacon Sizzling!

2 things you can smell. Coffee and Bacon!

1 thing you can taste. Bacon!

O - One step at a time (small goals lead towards great victories)

N - No sugar or caffeine, don’t power the problem!

Alcohol Lowers your mood

Processed Foods may add to depression

Good

Turkey (tryptophan) might be good

Beef (Vitamin B)

Complex Catbs lift your mood

Salmon (Omega 3)

High Protein boosts alertness

God grant me the serenity

To accept the things, I cannot change;

Courage to change the things I can;

And wisdom to know the difference.
